Dutch record producer and songwriter Roulsen, from the Netherlands, started his music career as part of the DJ duo “Roul & Doors.” Gaining initial acclaim after being signed to Defected Records. Roulsen's early career was marked by global performances, gracing stages at events such as Sensation Taiwan in 2013, Ushuaia for 'I Am Hardwell' from 2013 to 2015, Ministry of Sound London featuring Defected in The House & Fedde Le Grand, and joining Avicii on his 2014 Japan tour. A pivotal moment in his career was the release of "Blackout", a track that not only defined his career but continues to resonate with DJs and audiences worldwide.

In 2018, After some fruitful years of DJing, Roulsen expanded his artistic repertoire to include producing and writing pop music for an array of international artists. His output includes collaborations with acts like Hyoyeon (Girls Generation), Taemin (SHINee), Timmy Trumpet, Red Velvet, and Monsta X, contributing to over 160 songs bearing his writing and production signature. In his home country, the Netherlands, he's celebrated for crafting hits like “Maan ft Sevn Alias - Als Ik Ga,” a cornerstone of the Gold sales status album "Onverstaanbaar." In 2019 Roulsen's talents shone on the Eurovision stage, co-writing ‘22’ for Sarah McTernan to represent Ireland in the Tel Aviv finals. The following year, his song ‘Pray For Me’ performed by Kristin Husøy achieved 2nd place in Norway's Eurovision Melodi Grand Prix.

Beyond his musical prowess, Roel co-founded the Dutch record label Toukan Records & Publishing and created a K-pop masterclass through Class 101.

Additionally, Roulsen produced the memorable final show of DJ Hardwell before his break, performed with the Metropole Orchestra.

He also produced the music for Our House museum in Amsterdam, an innovative project blending electronic music and interactive experiences. His role extends to nurturing and developing artists, showcasing his commitment to fostering new talent and influencing the music landscape
